With the funds raised from our 2013 We Run the Night 5K we were once again able to make a donation to the Melanoma Research Foundation's Cure OM initiative! This time $10,000!!

As was announced 2013 was the las
t year for the Monica Jensen Foundation. We will be liquidating and settling our finances and making an additional donation to Rochester's Mayo Clinic and also funding the three $1,000 scholarships that were awarded in 2013.

We would like to thank everyone who has contributed in any way. We are blessed to have had the opportunity to do all of this in honor of Monica Walz-Jensen. She will never be forgotten!

Keep Smiling!!

Fighting the Fight...In Memory of Monica (Walz) Jensen

Did you know that Melanoma Cancer affects approximately 4% of the nearly 79% of all skin cancer deaths? There will be about 56,000 new cases of skin cancer diagnosed this year alone. Monica Jensen is part of these statistics.

Monica was diagnosed in 2003 with Malignant Ocular Melanoma. After what was thought successful removal of the cancer, she was able to live a happy and enjoyable life as a wife and mother of three young girls. Then in September of 2006, she received the devastating news that the cancer had returned...MONICA'S STORY
